Richland County Land Development Code Update Meeting
Richland County will be sharing proposed changes to the proposed Land Development Code at this meeting. As the changes to the Land Development Code affect every resident of Richland County - and our Ballentine Community in particular - please plan to attend this meeting and make your voice heard.

About the Event
Richland County residents will soon have the chance to review revisions to the County’s zoning map and Land Development Code (LDC) before the changes go to County Council for consideration.
In April 2022, County Council directed the County’s Planning Commission to prepare a new zoning map and recommend related text revisions. In November, the commission finished its work and requested that its recommendations be shared with the public before being presented to Council.
The County plans to hold drop-in meetings to give notice about the recommended changes. The first meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Richland Library Ballentine, 1200 Dutch Fork Road, Irmo. The County will announce more meetings later.
